Definition

The ending of a contract. This can occur by mutual consent, fulfillment of all obligations (completion), or via breach (with the innocent party choosing to terminate). In a tenancy, for instance, an agreement termination could be by a landlord's notice, a tenant's notice, or mutual agreement to end the tenancy early.
